4th Squadron (Ex SPA 62)

Historical

The Fighting Group II / 1, constituted on July 1st, 1932, brought together the squadrons SPA 94 (death that mows) and the SPA 62 (the cock of fight).

On the date of the outbreak of the German attack of May 10, 1940, the GC II / 1 belongs to the Fighting Group No. 21 of the ZOAN (North Air Operations Area)

At the armistice, the Group is on the ground of Valensole near Digne. He won, in August 1940, the ground of Luc, on which it will remain until its dissolution on November 27, 1942. The pilots had to convoy their 25 Dewoitine D520 in service to Montélimar to deliver them to the Italians. The pilots are demobilized two days later
