Surveillance Squadron 3S-4

Historical

On August 26, 1939, the School of application of Berre was transformed into 3S-4 Exploration Squadron. And it's the Lieutenant GUILLEMIN, boss of the School of Application who becomes the commander of the new unit. The unit is responsible for carrying out surveillance missions near Marseilles.

His equipment is at best heterogeneous and varied ... This will inevitably cause maintenance problems.

After the declaration of war of Italy, the activity of the Escadrille intensifies and the two Lioré & Olivier of the unit will execute successfully, a mission of bombing on the Italian coast.

The squadron is dissolved at the Armistice
