Historical
On September 3rd, 1939, the
Berre-L'Etang training section was transformed into a 3S-3 Exploration
Squadron.
Throughout the French Campaign,
the Squadron will carry out missions, surveillance around the port
of Marseille. It is equipped for this Gourdou-Leslie 810 and derivatives.
It was planned that the unit be transformed on Latécoère
298 in July 1940, and the full staff was trained for this in June,
but Armisitice will terminate this project.
