Exploration Squadron E-9


Historical

Squadron E-9 was born on October 15, 1939, in Berre l'Etang. This unit, equipped with Breguet Bizerte, is commanded by Lieutenant Guillemin.

Like the other exploration squadrons, the E-9 will carry out during the whole Campgne de France, long missions of surveillance and escort of convoys, without meeting the enemy.

The squadron will be renamed 9-E from 1 August 1940 and will be dissolved on 27 November 1942, after the invasion of the free zone by the Germans.
