DE BURETEL DE CHASSEY was admitted to the Saint-Cyr special
military school in 1921. He joined the air force at the Avord,
Istres, Versailles and Cazaux schools. He was posted successively
to the 33rd RA stationed in the Rhineland in 1926, to the 7th
Army Corps Staff in 1928, and finally to the Air Force Staff
in 1931. He attended the Ecole Supérieure de Guerre in
1933. He was posted to the 34th squadron in 1935, then to the
staff of the 5th RA. In 1940, he took command of the GB I/61
group and took part in the French campaign. He moved to AFN
in 1940 and became commander of the Marrakech base in 1943.
He was successively seconded to the military mission to the
American General Staff in AFN, to the Allied General Staff in
the Mediterranean in 1944, to the General Staff of the Tactical
Air Force, and to the Air Section of the Military Government
of the French Occupation Zone in Austria. He was appointed commander
of the Lindau school. He was assigned to the staff of the Inspector
General of the Armed Forces. Georges DE BURETEL DE CHASSEY left
the active army in 1957.

Desclerc graduated from the Ecole spéciale militaire
de Saint-Cyr in 1927, then from the Ecole militaire et d'application
de l'aéronautique in 1929. He was posted to the 2nd African
Aviation Group in 1931, then to the Colomb-Béchar base
in 1935. He joined the 35th defence wing in AFN in 1937. He
took command of GBA I/54 in May 1940.
After the Armistice, he was posted successively to the Jeunesse
et Montagne group, to the Service des oeuvres sociales de l'Air
in 1943, and finally to the Secretary of State for Industrial
Production in 1944. In 1945, he was assigned to the Tactical
Air Forces, and in 1947 to the CESA. In 1949, he did a traineeship
at the ESGA (Etudes Supérieures de Guerre Aérienne).
He was posted to the Armed Forces General Staff in 1949, to
CESA again in 1951, and finally to NATO College in 1958. Abel
Desclerc was placed on leave from the Air Crew in 1960. |

Léon
DUPERIER voluntarily joined the air force in 1927. He qualified
as a pilot in 1928 and was posted to the 34th RA in 1928 and
to the 37th RA in Morocco in 1930. He was transferred to the
reserves in November 1930. He was mobilised to the 32nd Air
Wing and posted to GB II/32 in 1939. He escaped from France
in December 1940 and joined the FAFL in March 1941. After a
spell in OTU, he successively joined squadrons 342, 615 and
402. He was appointed commander of the Alsace fighter
group in 1941 and of the Ile-de-France in 1942. He took command
of the French fighter school in Great Britain in December 1943.
He was seconded to General Koenig's staff in May 1944 and became
head of the 3rd FFI office in Brittany in July 1944.
