Historical

In September 1939, the GB I / 31 is chosen to experiment the Lioré & Olivier Léo 451 : five aircrafts will be delivered to the unit.

On May 10, 1940, GB I / 31 is attached to Group No6 of the Southeast Bombardment Aviation Training Group of the ZOAA (Alpine Air Operations Area).

After the dissolution of GB II / 31 in August 1940, 2nd Squadron of GB I / 31 incorporates the traditions and insignia of the 3rd Squadron of GB II / 31

On September 9, 1939, the Bloch 200 No132, badly damaged by the German fight, has to make a landing in enemy territory. Staff Sergeant AUDOUX, wounded, is taken prisoner.

He was killed on 02 March 1945 over Germany while serving in the RAF.
