BUCHETTE-PUYPEROUX took part in the two world conflicts of
the 20th century.
He volunteered in 1914 and was posted to the 23rd Colonial
Infantry Regiment. Wounded, he was transferred to the Observation
Aviation at SALM 51. After the Armistice, he entered the Istres
flying school and was certified on 15 May 1919. He spent three
periods in Indochina between the two wars. On his return to
Metropolitan France, he was posted to the 11th and then the
22nd Air Wing before being promoted to Commander of the GB
I/12. He joined the Alliance network from 1942 to 1944.
