Historical

The Montpellier Patrol was created on May 14, 1940 with pilots from the CIC instructors and the best students. The Patrol is equipped with 4 Morane 406s and is first attached to Patrol Group No. 4, composed of the Polish Patrols of Istres and Salon. It is finally regrouped on June 8th with the Patrol of Istres, to form the East Subgroup of the ZOAA (Alpine Air Operations Area). This Sub-Group is commanded by Commander BONNEAU, who will benefit from the contribution of the Belgian Patrol equipped with Fairey Firefly.

The Patrol of Montpellier did not take part in any air combat. She was at the disposal of the Navy in the case of an Italian landing, which never took place ...
