Defense Patrols are trained to defend aircraft manufacturing plants or protect strategic sites.

The Defense Patrol of Chateauroux-Déols, one of the first Patrols set up, is a civilian formation composed of three pilots conveyors of the company "Bloch". Officially created May 11, 1940, the Patrol actually exists for a few days, with the agreement of Marcel Bloch.

It is responsible for protecting the Bloch assembly plants installed in Chateauroux. She is supported by another Patrouille, Polonaise, present on the site of Chateauroux-La Martinerie
