The Patrol of factory of
Bourges was created on May 11, 1940 to defend the SNCAC factory
that assembles and repairs the Curtiss H75. It is first protected
by a "Patrouille Française" (French Patrol) strong
three Curtiss H75 and commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Marcel HAEGELEN,
Ace of the First World War to 22 Victories.
Following a German bombing
of the factory on May 11, 1940, fortunately without gravity, six
Polish pilots are detached to create the "Patrouille d'Usine
de Bourges". (Patrol of factory of Bourges)
The Patrol's record is
2 Heinkel 111 homologated, in a difficult context: the Polish
pilots seem to fly without Radio, and the chances of intercepting
the fast German bombers were very slim.
On June 21, 1940, six Patrol
Pole pilots retreated to AFN, in Algiers White House with their
Curtiss H75. The Polish drivers will all join England to continue
the fight.
