On 21 December 1939, his aircraft, Potez 637 no. 14, was shot
down by 2 British Hurricanes, fooled by the silhouette of
the Potez, which was very similar to that of the German Me110.
Only Lieutenant SAGON, seriously wounded, parachuted out and
survived the attack.
After convalescing, he joined the GR II/22 and was taken prisoner
after being shot down in aerial combat.
