Georges DE BURETEL DE CHASSEY was admitted to the Saint-Cyr special military school in 1921. He joined the air force at the Avord, Istres, Versailles and Cazaux schools. He was posted successively to the 33rd RA stationed in the Rhineland in 1926, to the 7th Army Corps Staff in 1928, and finally to the Air Force Staff in 1931. He attended the Ecole Supérieure de Guerre in 1933. He was posted to the 34th squadron in 1935, then to the staff of the 5th RA. In 1940, he took command of the GB I/61 group and took part in the French campaign. He moved to AFN in 1940 and became commander of the Marrakech base in 1943. He was successively seconded to the military mission to the American General Staff in AFN, to the Allied General Staff in the Mediterranean in 1944, to the General Staff of the Tactical Air Force, and to the Air Section of the Military Government of the French Occupation Zone in Austria. He was appointed commander of the Lindau school. He was assigned to the staff of the Inspector General of the Armed Forces. Georges DE BURETEL DE CHASSEY left the active army in 1957.

LéO 451 No 80 was hit by flak on 16 May 1940 and had to land in the field. The crew, unhurt, returned to GB II/12 on foot. Only Warrant Officer LEGROS stayed with the aircraft to guard it, but faced with the German advance, he was forced to set fire to the aircraft 4 days later.

He was killed on 13 March 1943, while serving with the GT I/23 Transport Group.

Was present at the unit in 1937, and took part in the first assault bombing tests on Mureaux 117, at the Reims CEAM.
On 12 May 1940, Breguet 693 No. 18 was shot down by flak during a ground attack. The aircraft made a first pass and dropped its bombs on the enemy: both engines were already on fire. It turned and made a second pass at the gun and finally, at the end of ammunition, crashed in the middle of an enemy concentration. The crew is killed.

Jean-Dieudonné DE-LAUBIER enlisted voluntarily in 1914 at the age of 17. He was posted to the artillery and fought with the Crapouillots. In September 1918, he asked to join the Air Force and ended the war with 4 commendations and the rank of second lieutenant.
After the war, he passed the entrance exam for the Sant-Cyr Military School. On completion of his training in 1923, he was posted to the 32nd Aviation Regiment. He first obtained his Observer's Certificate and then his Pilot's Certificate in 1924. Appointed Captain in 1929, he took command of a squadron in 1935, then in 1938, with the rank of Major, he took command of a Bombardment Group in the 38th Wing, before being appointed head of GB II/34 in January 1940.
On May 14, 1940, his aircraft, the Amiot 143 No. 56, was shot down by the Flak. Commander DE-LAUBIER is killed.

Robert DELFAU-DE-PONTALBA is a former student of Saint-Cyr, ‘Mangin’ promotion 1929 - 1931.
After the Armistice, he joined the Free French Air Force and was posted to the 31st Wing. On 5 July 1945, Major DE-PONTALBA was posted to Maison Blanche (Algeria) to take up the post of regulator of the 31st Wing.
After the war, he continued his career, which ended with the rank of Air Brigadier General.

Abel Desclerc graduated from the Ecole spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr in 1927, then from the Ecole militaire et d'application de l'aéronautique in 1929. He was posted to the 2nd African Aviation Group in 1931, then to the Colomb-Béchar base in 1935. He joined the 35th defence wing in AFN in 1937. He took command of GBA I/54 in May 1940.
After the Armistice, he was posted successively to the Jeunesse et Montagne group, to the Service des oeuvres sociales de l'Air in 1943, and finally to the Secretary of State for Industrial Production in 1944. In 1945, he was assigned to the Tactical Air Forces, and in 1947 to the CESA. In 1949, he did a traineeship at the ESGA (Etudes Supérieures de Guerre Aérienne). He was posted to the Armed Forces General Staff in 1949, to CESA again in 1951, and finally to NATO College in 1958. Abel Desclerc was placed on leave from the Air Crew in 1960.

It turned and made a second pass at the gun and finally, at the end of ammunition, crashed in the middle of an enemy concentration. The crew is killed.

Pierre DONZEAU studied literature and opted for a university career. However, he was mobilised in 1916 and took part in the Battle of Verdun as a Reserve Second Lieutenant. He was awarded the Légion d'Honneur for this battle.
After the war, having become an Active Officer, he decided to join the air force and took his pilot's licence in 1919.
He studied Russian and stayed in Serbia to perfect his Russian with an emigrant Russian general. In the early 1930s, he became an instructor pilot at the Turkish aviation school in Eskisehir.
In February 1934, he was posted as deputy military attaché to the French embassy in Moscow. He became Air Attaché when the French Air Force was created in July 1934.
In 1938-1939, Pierre DONZEAU took command of a Bombardment Group, then briefly served as Air Attaché in Romania. At the end of 1939, he was appointed head of GB II/34.
At the time of the armistice, he was preparing to go to England, but gave up after the British attacked the French fleet at Mers el-Kébir in July 1940. He also refused to join the Normandy-Niemen squadron because he did not want to serve under Stalin, whom he knew well.
In 1945, he was sent to Vienna as a military administrator, before leaving the army in the early 1950s.

DOUMERC Jean Sergeant Pilot Jean Doumerc, a brilliant aeronautical engineer who graduated from ENSA, obtained his Military Pilot's Licence and became a test pilot and flight engineer. From 1927 to 1933, he became an instructor pilot and then a test pilot with the aircraft manufacturer Morane-Saulnier, then the Compagnie Française d'Aviation, and the Société des avions Bernard before joining the Société Lioret and Olivier, the future S.N.C.A.S.E. in 1935. Jean Doumerc made the first flight of the production Dewoitine 510 and the first prototype LéO 45 in January 1937. Born in Paris (75) on 8 February 1903

  René DUTREY-LASSUS later joined the FAFL and fought with Groupe de Bombardement GB I/25 ‘Tunisie’.
He was killed on 20 October 1946 aboard a Junkers JU88 from the Centre d'Essais en Vol. It left Orange airfield on its way to Pau, but had to turn back because of bad weather, and crashed on the ground shortly afterwards. All 3 crew members were killed in the accident.
