Historical
Born GB I / 51, he became
GBA I / 51 when he joined the Bombardment Assault December 28, 1939.
On April 15, 1940, the 6th
Bombardment Brigade and its Wings are disbanded, and GBA I / 51,
formerly owned by 51 Wing, is now attached to Group n°19 of the
South Bomber Aviation Training Group. East of the ZOAA (Alpine Air
Operations Zone).
At the Armistice, only the
GBA I / 54 and GBA I / 51 are authorized by the Germans. The 2nd
Squadron of the Group thus receives the personnel of the GBA II
/ 51, dissolved recently.
The group is finally dissolved
on December 1st, 1942 on the Orange airfield.
