Historical
Born GB II / 51, he became
GBA II / 51 when he joined the Bombardment Assault December 15,
1939.
On April 15, 1940, the 6th
Bombardment Brigade and its Wings are disbanded, and the GBA II
/ 51, formerly owned by 51 Wing, is now attached to Group No. 19
of the South Bomber Aviation Training Group. East of the ZOAA (Alpine
Air Operations Zone).
At the Armistice, only the
GBA I / 54 and GBA I / 51 are authorized by the Germans. The latter
Group therefore receives the staff of GBA II / 51, which will be
dissolved on August 15, 1940.
