Historical
The HB-2 squadron was created
on September 15, 1939 on pond of Berre. Commissioned by Lieutenant
VEYRE-DE-SORAS, the unit is equipped with Latécoère
298. As for his sister, the HB-1, the first months of the war are
devoted to training., It is transferred in November to Saint Mandrier
before joining the base of Karouba in January 1940.
After the declaration of
war by the Italians, the HB-2 squadron moved to Oubeira, Algeria.
The Armistice will surprise unity on this basis, without ever having
met the enemy.
