Embarked Bombing Squadron HB-2

Historical

The HB-2 squadron was created on September 15, 1939 on pond of Berre. Commissioned by Lieutenant VEYRE-DE-SORAS, the unit is equipped with Latécoère 298. As for his sister, the HB-1, the first months of the war are devoted to training., It is transferred in November to Saint Mandrier before joining the base of Karouba in January 1940.

After the declaration of war by the Italians, the HB-2 squadron moved to Oubeira, Algeria. The Armistice will surprise unity on this basis, without ever having met the enemy.
