GC I/145 and then, on 14 June 1940, with GC I/1. On 18 June
1940, he left this group with the seven other Polish pilots
for England. He fought with 307 Sqn and was killed by accident
in January 1944: during a training flight, the starboard engine
of the Bristol Beaufighter in which Lucjan SZEMPLINSKI was flying
failed. The plane crashed as it approached the base. |
