Historical

Originally GB II / 32 is an Observation Group: GO II / 32. He becomes GB II / 32 on January 1, 1938.

On May 10, 1940, GB II / 32 is stationed in North Africa, attached to Bombardment Group No. 3.

The transformation of GB II / 32 on Douglas DB-7 was delayed, and this prevented the Group from joining the metropolis before the Armistice.

DUPERIER Léon - Maurice
Lieutenant
    Léon DUPERIER voluntarily joined the air force in 1927. He qualified as a pilot in 1928 and was posted to the 34th RA in 1928 and to the 37th RA in Morocco in 1930. He was transferred to the reserves in November 1930. He was mobilised to the 32nd Air Wing and posted to GB II/32 in 1939. He escaped from France in December 1940 and joined the FAFL in March 1941. After a spell in OTU, he successively joined squadrons 342, 615 and 402. He was appointed commander of the ‘Alsace’ fighter group in 1941 and of the Ile-de-France in 1942. He took command of the French fighter school in Great Britain in December 1943. He was seconded to General Koenig's staff in May 1944 and became head of the 3rd FFI office in Brittany in July 1944.
Brittany in July 1944. Léon DUPERIER was demobilised in 1946 and transferred to the reserves.
