                  1940, he joined the GB I/38. Placed on Armistice leave in 1943, 
                  he was recalled in 1944 to the Kasba Tadla flying school (Morocco). 
                  He was sent to Indochina with the II/64 Anjou group 
                  in 1947. On his return, he was posted to the GMMTA (Groupement 
                  des Moyens Militaires de Transport Aérien) in 1951, to 
                  the CIET (centre d'instruction des équipages de transport) 
                  in Toulouse in 1953, to the Anjou group in Blida in 1957 and 
                  then back to the GMMTA in 1959. Rolland BROSSET retired in 1962 with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

                      of the Council, Mr Palewski. Head of the first division 
                      of the Armed Forces General Staff in 1957, he was appointed 
                      military adviser to the cabinet of the ministerial delegate 
                      for the air force, Mr Blancard, in 1959. 
 Promoted to Brigadier 
                      General in 1960, in 1962 he became Commander of the Strategic 
                      Air Forces, the first atomic deterrent force.General Marie is an Officer 
                    of the Legion of Honour.
