Some feats of arm

On June 18, 1940, during a ground protection mission in a triple patrol of the GC I / 1, the Staff-Sergeant MARKIEWICZ attacked a DO17 face-to-face, with his two teammates, Chief Warrant Officer DELEGAY and Captain WCZELIK. The right engine fires immediately and the enemy aircraft begins to lose altitude. After three more passes by Chief Warrant Officer DELEGAY, the disabled aircraft sinks into the sea. On the Rochefort base, a plaque was put in place in memory of this glorious action and the two Polish pilots having participated.
